Khonsa, Aug 28: The Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, Tirap, organised a felicitation programme to honour the district’s judo players who delivered an impressive performance at the 6th State Level Judo Championship held at Itanagar.

The Tirap judo team brought laurels to the district by securing the overall second position in the championship, showcasing remarkable skill, discipline, and determination.

Deputy Commissioner, Tirap, lauded the players for their outstanding achievement and commended their dedication towards the sport. He encouraged the young athletes to continue striving for excellence and to represent the district and the state at higher levels.

District Sports Officer N. Mongku congratulated all the medal winners and appreciated their hard work and perseverance. He also acknowledged the efforts of the coach, Mrs. Kabin Doyum, for her guidance and commitment in grooming the players.

The felicitation programme was attended by officials from the Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, coaches, and well-wishers, who celebrated the success of the athletes and expressed confidence in their future achievements.
