Itanagar, Sep 2026: The District Administration, Itanagar Capital Region (ICR), organised a “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan” at Indira Gandhi Park, Itanagar, on 29th September 2026, in line with the “Seva Aapke Dwar” initiative. The programme was organised pursuant to the directions of the Department of Planning & Investment, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, for conducting “Seva Setu Abhiyan” Camps under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, aimed at ensuring accessible and citizen-centric delivery of government services.

Hon’ble MLA Shri Techi Kaso graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Smti Likha Nari Tadar, Hon’ble Mayor, Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC), attended as the Guest of Honour. Shri Toko Babu, APCS, Deputy Commissioner, ICR, the Deputy Mayor, IMC, along with Heads of Departments, Additional Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners and other senior officers and officials, also attended the programme.

Various departments and agencies, including the District Medical Office (DMO), Department of Economics & Statistics, IMC, District Food & Civil Supplies Office(D&FSO), District Transport Office (DTO); Jan Suvidha, DC Office; Urban ICDS and Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Itanagar, participated in the camp and provided a range of services under one roof.

Medical services included eye and dental check-ups, TB and NCD screening, along with registration for PM-JAY, CMAAY and ABHA IDs, immunisation and counselling. Beneficiaries were also facilitated with LPG and electricity connections, while the IMC provided birth and death certificates, trade licence forms and other civic services. The camp provided citizens with direct access to government services, welfare schemes, information and assistance from the concerned departments. Hundreds of beneficiaries attended the camp and availed themselves of the services provided.

ICR Observes Week of Non-Violence

Simultaneously, the District Administration, ICR, is observing the “Week of Non-Violence” from 29th September to 4th October 2026 as part of the observance of the International Day of Non-Violence. As part of the observance, Essay Writing and Drawing Competitions were organised for students of various schools across the ICR to promote awareness and encourage young minds to reflect on the values of peace, non-violence, tolerance and harmony. The initiative seeks to foster the values of peaceful coexistence, mutual respect and non-violence among students and encourage them to uphold these principles in their everyday lives. (DIPRO)
