Khonsa February 6, 2021: Nocte Digest’s Digital Library was inaugurated by Ms. ChaphunSumnyan, District Library and Information Officer of Tirap, in the presence of Shri Nawang L. Medam, In-Charge BEO, Khonsa and Shri Butwang H. Lowang, Joint Secretary of All Tirap District Students’ Union (ATDSU), selected senior students from GHSS, Khonsa. The function was held at the NBF Hall, Khonsa, and was organised by Shri WangtumHumchha Lowang, founder of the Nocte Digest.
The site noctedigest.com/library gives free access to 10+ books, 15+ reference articles and 30+ historical documents! All about the history and culture of the Nocte tribe!
While inaugurating the Nocte Digest Digital Library – Chief Guest cum DL&IO Miss ChaphunSumnyan appreciated Shri WangtumHumchhaLowang for the noble idea and venturing into new Digital World that will help the students in widening their knowledge about their cultures & traditions. The DL&IO also highlighted on the importance of Digital Library in the present Information &Technology world that help the readers in exploring new information and knowledge. Sheurged the students community to visits District Library from time to time and read books as much as possible to improve general knowledge in a great extent.
Later, DLIO ChaphunSumnyan distributed certificates to the students for participating on the occasion to marked the day more meaningful.
In his speech BLEO I/c. NawangLowangMedam appealed the students community to browse into the Nocte Digest’s Digital Library for acquiring new information and widening knowledge on Nocte’s Culture and Traditions. Shri ButwangHumchhaLowang, Joint Secretary ATDSU also spoke on the occasion.
