Itanagar, January 31: The District level National Immunization Day/Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) of Itanagar Capital Complex was launched today at Polio booth near NHM Office C – Sector, Naharlagun by Dr. Moromor  Lego, Director Health Services who had graced the occasion as Chief Guest in the presence of Dr. Emi Rumi, Director Family Welfare,

Dr. Mandip Perme, District Medical Officer.ICC, Dr.Amping Perme, Deputy Director Family Welfare, Dr. Tahan Mize, DRCHO.ICC,
Dr. Tana Natung, State Nodal Officer Child Health, Dr. Reji Krishnan OSD to
DHS, Dr.Dimong Padung , State Nodal Officer Immunization,
Dr. Deepak Milli, Senior Project Officer UNDP, Dr. Tage Taka MO RI,
Dr. Usha Devi DANO.ICC, Dr. Ushma Dharod SMO, WHO along with other Officer & Officials , beneficiaries amidst large public gathering.
Dr. Lego in his speech urged all the parents of the targeted group( 0 to 5 )years of age to come forward and to encourage others also to bring their children to the nearest polio boot for two drops of polio vaccine which can protect the family of polio risk. He also thanked all the participants for taking part in the polio vaccination drive.
 Dr. Rumi  expressed his happiness to see so many parents coming forward for immunisation. While congratulating parents for such positive attitude, he urged all to cooperate in eradicating polio from our country.
The vaccination team is expecting large participation from all section of the society with 100 percent polio vaccination coverage.
The District Launching of National Immunization Day was launched successfully by District Health Society in collaboration with State health Society.
