The Deputy Commissioner Shri Pige Ligu discuss the preparedness for APPSCCE’2020 Preliminary exam which is scheduled to be held on 1st November’2020( Sunday)

A meeting with all head of institutions of forthcoming APPSC exam centres, Police and health and education  departments under Papum Pare District was  convened today to discuss the preparedness for APPSCCE’2020 Preliminary exam which is scheduled to be held on 1st November’2020( Sunday) next across the state.

Chairing the meeting Deputy Commissioner Shri Pige Ligu called upon all representatives of institutions, Police, Health to gear up the preparations   with missionary zeal and plan meticulously to conduct exam in a very impartial and transparent manner.

During the meeting all guidelines of Commission were discussed in details and keeping in view the  pandemic situation, the house also discussed in length about the precautionary measures for allowing candidates with COVID-19 Positive cases ,thereupon  DC directed all head of institutions to make adequate arrangements as per SOPs of COVID-19 and kept in ready isolation rooms in each centres for such candidates and to perform thermal scanning strictly as preventive measures to identify  any candidate with high temperature.  He also opined that if possible Commission should issue the communiqué for such candidates who wish to write the exam to made declaration through online mode about their status to Commission in advance before  the exam so that concerned authority can make adequate precautionary measures.

He also directed health department to keep ready medical team with ambulance,  emergency kits and deploy sufficient staffs for thermal screening of candidates at each exam centre.

He further directed Nodal Officer, Exam to prepare contingency plan to mitigate any unforeseen situation for smooth conduct of exam.

The DC also  reviewed preparatory arrangements made by respective head of institutions of exam centres Rajiv Gandhi University, Rono Hills, Govt College Doimukh, Govt Higher Secondary School, Doimukh and Don Bosco School, Nonpu, Doimukh and representatives of each exam centres also apprised about their arrangements and  required logistic support from district administration.

SP Papum Pare Jimmy Chiram also briefed the house about overall  security arrangements  and informed that adequate manpower will be pressed into service on day of exam to ensure full proof security coverage of entire process of exam.

Earlier, Nodal Officer, Exam  Smti Dolma Wangjom, EAC briefed the house about objective of the meeting and informed that as per Commission it is expected that 1410 candidates will be sit for exam in 4 exam centres in Papum Pare District.

Among others present were ADC Tabang Bodung,  APPSC Deputy Secretary Bate Koyu,  Principal Govt College Doimukh M.Q Khan, Dr. Oken Lego, RGU, DSO-IDSP Dr. R. Ronya, EAC Mokar Riba, SDO Doimukh Sabodham Tayang, GHSS Principal Kamki, Principal Don Bosco School, Nonpu, representatives from DDSE office admin officers.
