MLA participates in the plantation drive

Tawang, June 5:
On the occasion of World Environment Day Honble MLA Tawang Shri Tsering Tashi, today participated in a plantation drive organized by the 38th Bn SSB Tawang and NGO Human Rights First. Along with Officers and Jawans of SSB, Members of Human Rights first(NGO) Shri Tsering Tashi planted saplings in and around the premises of 38th Bn SSB Tawang. The theme for plantation was “Green Suits me, let us keep it that way”. The Tawang Riders club also joined the event with cycling to mark the day. This year world environment day coincided with Buddha Purnima as per local calendar, so after plantation the members assembled at SSB Budh Mandir within the SSB campus and hoisted the five coloured Buddhist religious flags and prayed for the welfare of whole sentient beings. Later MLA Tawang Shri Tsering Tashi interacted with officers and jawans of SSB and members of Human right first, appreciated their contribution for environment and earlier activities of civic action programmes during phases of lockdown.
