Tezu, Jan 9: In a meeting with regard to the ensuing Republic Day celebration, Lohit District Deputy Commissioner Shri. Karma Leki told all the Government department stakeholders to set up stalls in Jubilee Ground on the occasion of Republic Day celebration to disseminate departmental schemes and programmes to the general public of Lohit District.
The meeting was attended by all Heads of departments of Lohit District and representatives of paramilitary and military establishments in Tezu at DC’s Conference Hall, here today.
There is large number of gathering on the day. People from various walks of life from Tezu town and nearby villages come to the ground to witness Republic Day celebration like March past, Band and PT Displays, cultural programmes etc during the day. These people are drawn towards stalls out of curiosity’s which can be taken as an opportunity to impart information of the welfare schemes to the public by the representative of the concerned department at the stall.
This way we will be able to educate maximum number of people about all the schemes, he told.
Department of Health & Family Welfare, Education, Food & Civil Supply, ICDS etc were directed to set up stalls during the day.
Meanwhile, DC sought cooperation from all the departments for successful conduct of Parsuram Kund Mela on 14-15 January.
